Stinky blanket burn!!

Thank you Kelso!
I don't know what it is, but something about hearing Kelso scream "BURN!!" like a million times just makes me laugh. A lot!

"Way to use science in a burn!"

Was that place the sun?

Yeah... there is a reason this clip is so funny. So as several of my classmates have so cleverly pointed out... I am tan.

Yeah, so I go regular tanning, and when I bought a pass I got a bunch of free spray-on tan passes. I decided that in order to take a break from studying, and in preparation for spring break next week (yes!), I would go right ahead. Anyways, stupid guy at the tanning place told me to put lotion on my hands, and so instead of homogenously colored hands, I got weird lines. It is freaky, and I swear it keeps getting darker! Yeah... anyways, hopefully it will fade quick!

On the up side, look how white my teeth appear to be!

Saturday night

Okay, so my goal for this weekend was to get totally prepared for our oral pathology exam this Monday so that I could rock the socks off of it. Well, come to find out, I am really easily distracted... who knew! Ha ha, so instead of staying at home and studying, I ended up going to the Jays basketball game. Luckily I went with two other dental students, and we spent the entirety of the game quizing each other, and throwing out random pathological facts. I'm pretty sure the people sitting in front of us thought we were crazy. However, I'm also pretty sure that they were drinking, so they probably were entertained (and educated)! I guess the sad part about all of this is that I actually had a really fun time, even though I really didn't watch most of the game. Yes, I know, who knew pathology could be so exciting! By the way, the Jays totally won. Sweet!

Inspiration

With three tests last week and four more next week, I am in some serious need of motivation. Luckily we at the dental school love to send out random e-mails - thanks for this guys! (Ps, sorry I keep posting dumb videos on my blog. I shall repent and start taking more pictures!)

So fresh and so clean!

Oh yeah, I finally washed my car! That is because, believe it or not, I got done with class at 3-o-clock baby! Oh yeah, I don't think I've left the dental building before 5 for the last two weeks. Anyways, the sun was up, and it was slightly warmer, so I decided that the risk of my car freezing after I washed it was minimal. So I have found it entertaining that the carwashes here are those sweet conveyor belt style washes. I don't think I ever saw one of those in Utah, so it has been a new and exciting experience.

Also, we were sitting in class during lunch today attempting to "study" for our test, and instead we just started quoting Billy Madison. Enjoy! (Stop looking at me swan!!)

I heart valentine's day

Okay, so usually i am totally not into Valentine's. In fact, I wasn't really this year, except that my mom - who is awesome - has spread the St. V spirit all the way from Utah to my little place in Omaha. So this Monday I came home to discover a rather large package "hidden" under my doormat (I don't understand why the postal service does that, because you can totally still see it). To my delight and surprise, it was chock full of all kinds of Valentine's essentials. So if you have seen me recently, I have most likely been sporting my heart-covered pajama pants, or my heart-shaped earrings. Also, I have plenty of candy and cookies, all generously provided by my loving mother!!

Oh yes, in other news, I have like a million tests coming up, and I don't want to study. All I want to do is watch Sense and Sensibility...

Check out the short

Okay, I cut my hair. Yay! I have been itching to do this since May, and it was only thanks to my hair stylist who urged me to grow it out that I lasted as long as I did. Anyways, I think it's funny because it is pretty much normal for me to have short hair, but almost no one here even knows that. So it was kindave a fun shock factor when I showed up to school with drastically changed hair. I must say, it is much easier to deal with in lab and in the clinic, and it's always entertaining to wake up to (believe me, it sticks up like crazy, and no, I am not going to post a picture of that)!

In other news, I have discovered a new band that I like - Owl City. Yes, that is the cheesy band that sings Fireflies, but I don't care. In fact, I like that song... a lot. Yeah, I know, but it makes me happy. Also, dental school is pretty much rocking my world, We practiced giving injections to each other two weeks ago, and it went pretty well. I must admit, being on the receiving end of a student injection is pretty much scary beyond all reason, but I survived, and even more important, so did he! So no worries, I am now ready to be unleashed upon the world (okay, maybe with some supervision).
