Since we had a 3-day weekend, I decided to go on a super last minute road trip to Nauvoo. It ended up being super fun. I didn't take nearly the amount of pictures I usually do, but here are a few. The weather there was rainy, but it prevented it from being super hot which I enjoyed.
Also, we were lucky enough to catch the first show of the season put on by the performing missionaries. Basically they do a bunch of songs, skits, dances, etc, after the fashion of pioneer entertainment. It was pretty well done, and those kids were super talented!
We came back to the hotel to find this little buddy perched on our doorknob. I was impressed with his skill in being able to keep four people from entering! No seriously, we made it okay, and I thought he was kinda cute.
My favorite part of Nauvoo - the temple!

That looks like fun! How long of a drive is it?
From Omaha, it takes about five hours to get there. However, that depends on who is driving! Haha.
It was actually a nice little drive. We had the sunroof open, techno music, and plenty of road food to keep us entertained!
